18th and 25th May 7.00PM: Baptismal Preparation Course

A 2-session baptismal preparation course will be held in the founders room on Tuesday 18th May and Tuesday 25th May at 7pm. Booking is necessary. Contact the parish for a registration form or pick one up from the colonnade. Completion of this course is required before a baptism date can be booked.

26th March 2021 12:00PM: Marian Visual Event for the feast of Our Lady at the Foot of the Cross

Our Servite Family joint association, "UNIFAS of the ISLES", is planning a Marian Visual Event for the feast of Our Lady at the Foot of the Cross on Friday 26th March 2021 at 12:00PM. Fr Paul Addison will give a presentation (talk with slides) on Mary’s role in the mystery of Salvation. It will be at noon, and about half-an-hour in length.The event will be held via zoom. If you wish to participate, please contact Fr Paul directly.

15th-23rd December 2020: Simbang Gabi sa Chelsea

The Servite Filipino community will celebrate Simbang Gabi (a series of 9 Night Masses) at Our lady of Dolours church in the runup to Christmas. On each of the abovementioned days (inclusive) there will be a mass at 8pm. Due to CV-19, social distancing rules will apply.

12th April 2018: Organ Recital

Between April and October 2018, various organists performed recitals at the servite church to commemorate our church organ's 50th Anniversary. Please see the flyer attached here for details.

25th June 2017: International Mass 2017

On this glorious midsummer's day the London Servite church held an international mass to celebrate the wonderful diversity of nations and cultures that make up our parish. Photos of day can be seen here.

17th February 2017: Feast of our 7 founders day

The Feast of our Seven Holy Founders was celebrated on this day.

During the Community Mass and Celebration, Parish Priest, Father Patrick Ryall OSM officially presented the Papal Award of the Benemerenti Medal to Mr James Sewell.


25th-31st July 2016: Celebration of World Youth Day

World Youth Day is an international Catholic event focused on religious faith and youth, which was celebrated from 25 – 31 July 2016 in Krakow, Poland. This was announced by Pope Francis at the end of the closing Mass of World Youth Day 2013 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Read more...

Christmas Bazaar - Saturday 28th November 2015

We have received a great deal of support from parishioners and are looking forward to a great day.

We are looking for donations of new and unopened items in the following categories; wines, spirits, toiletries gift sets, chocolates, cakes, biscuits and other food items.

Also used but good quality toys, books and brick a brack items. Please no clothing this year.

All items can be deposited in the large boxes in the colonnade on weekend 15 Nov. Raffle tickets can also be collected from the colonnade or parish office and returned to the parish office with all monies.

Many thanks for your support; we know that our Parish Community is a special one, so let us work together to support it.

Gibraltar Day 2015 Mass of Thanksgiving - Sunday 11th October

Gibraltar Day 2015 was celebrated in London on Monday 12th October 2015 and was in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the evacuation of Gibraltar.

A special Mass of Thanksgiving was held at Our Lady of Dolours Servite church on at 12:15pm on Sunday 11th October.

We were honoured and delighted the Chief Minister of Gibraltar, The Hon Fabian Picardo QC MP, other dignitaries from Gibraltar, The Worshipful the Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea Councilor Robert Freeman were in attendance.

We were also delighted to welcome back to our Parish, the Rt. Rev. Ralph Heskett, CSsR, Bishop Administrator of Gibraltar and Bishop of Hallam to the celebratory Mass of Thanksgiving on the 75th Anniversary of the Evacuation of Gibraltar.

150th Anniversary of Servite Presence in London - Friday 12th September 2014

In September 2014 our Prior General, Fr Gottfried Wolff OSM and his General Council together with Prior Provincials and Superiors from around the world assembled in London for their International meeting and also for the celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Servite presence in London and the English-speaking world.

As part of the celebrations, a dinner and concert was held at St Mary’s University, Twickenham on Friday 12th September

On Sunday 14th September our Archbishop, Cardinal Vincent Nichols presided over the 12.15 p.m. Mass which was followed by a lunch for all present in the School Hall and Marquees. It was well attended by our parishioners.

On Monday 15th September our Prior General, Fr Gottfried Wolff presided over the 6.30 p.m. Mass, which was followed by a Reception in the School Hall for those present. The celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows was also well supported by our parishioners.
